Biblical Hebrew with Scott

Schools out, so we get a chance to talk to Scott Frazier, about teaching Hebrew and reading the Word. We start by talking about teaching theories and strategies, including contracts and making sure no student is left behind. We also discuss the limitations of translation, as well as how much we are all dependent on someone else's interpretation of the Word, the translator. We can't all be Hebrew scholars, so how much information should we have to at least have some perspective and humility?

Christmas and the Annunciation to Mary

Merry Christmas! In this episode, Calvin, Pearse, and Todd talk about the Christmas story, especially the Annunciation to Mary from the Gospel of Luke. We discuss what the story means to us today, not just as a piece of history, but also something that happens again and again everyday. What is the Christmas Spirit, and how can you get into it? What holds us back from feeling the joy of Christmas? What is your favorite part about Christmas?

Love Languages with Calvin

In this episode, we return to the concept of love languages. We ask Calvin, a theologian and trained counselor, how we can use this concept to better our lives. We discus how it can help someone in a relationship, but also single people and widows. We also ask if God has a love language, as well as if love languages can be abused. What's your love language, and how can this help you in your life?
