Editor's Box | Dear Readers of New Church Perspective

We are closing in on the end of our first year and I wanted to share a couple things with you.

By mid-October we will launch two new columns!

The first is “Chapman Cast,” one of the first ever New Church podcasts. Chapman Cast is hosted by Pearse Frazier and will include interviews and discussions which can be downloaded and enjoyed wherever you take your MP3 player.

The second column, created by Chelsea Odhner, will offer regular, brief reflections on passages from the Word and Writings of Emanuel Swedenborg. Once underway “Meditate” will provide a space for others to also contribute their meditative responses to teachings in the Word.

The addition of these two new columns reminds me to mention improvements to our subscription process. You can now subscribe more easily by email and can have more control over what you subscribe to. I strongly encourage those of you who are subscribed (either by email or by feed reader) to visit the site again after the launch of our new columns so that you can make sure you will receive updates for all the content you wish. Check out the subscribe page for more options.

Another reason to visit the site occasionally is so that you can respond to the work of our authors. We now offer the ability to “Like” an article which helps us promote the site on Facebook and also gives us a guide as to reader interest.

The financial costs, the many hours of writing, editing and web-hosting are all given to us voluntarily. So I would like to offer warm thank you's to the community which collectively put in over 500 hours of work.

That's all for now. We have great articles lined up for the close of 2010 and you can expect some more new features in 2011!
