The Church Overseas with Malcolm & Todd

In this episode, we sit down with Todd and Malcolm who are each looking to move overseas to begin their ministries. Todd is heading to Australia, and Malcolm to South Africa. We discuss hopes, dreams, accents, and culture. Where would you like to help see the Lord's church grow?

Hey, I thought this was very well interviewed - thanks Pearse.

Also, I believe I've heard Frank Rose advocate commitment to immersion (pulling from his experience working in England, France and other European spots as an American). In other words, even if your wife laughs at you for sounding South Africa or if the congregation can tell that your Australian brogue is not quite perfect, it is still worth it. If you do it genuinely, it communicates interest, attention and appreciation of the foreign culture. After 5 months in Canada my Torontonian accent is near perfect. :)
